Job Summary:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing mechanical systems within construction projects. This role ensures that mechanical systems are efficient, reliable, and compliant with project specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical Design: Develop detailed designs for mechanical systems, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards.
- System Analysis: Perform analysis of mechanical systems to ensure efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures to ensure mechanical systems comply with project specifications and standards.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical support and guidance to the project team, including junior engineers and technicians.
- Project Management: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
- Compliance: Ensure all mechanical engineering activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to mechanical systems and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documents, including design calculations, specifications, and reports, maintaining accurate records of all mechanical engineering activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems into the overall project design.
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest developments in mechanical engineering and incorporate new technologies and best practices into project designs.
Qualifications:
Experience: Over 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PE, CEng) are preferred.
Skills:
- Proven track record of designing and overseeing mechanical systems for large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in mechanical design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, HVAC software).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
