Job Summary:
The MEP Manager will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of construction projects. This role ensures proper coordination and integration of MEP systems within the overall project design and construction, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Manage and oversee all MEP activities, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- System Integration: Ensure proper coordination and integration of MEP systems within the overall project design and construction.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to the project team, resolving any issues related to MEP systems.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure MEP systems meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage MEP budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and adherence to financial targets.
- Risk Management: Identify potential MEP-related risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
- Compliance: Ensure all MEP activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of MEP activities, including design changes, installation progress, and inspections.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the MEP team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
Experience: Over 20 years of experience in managing MEP systems within the construction industry.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., LEED AP, PMP) are preferred.
